John Krusenstjerna is the founder and owner of Iowa CTS Cleaners, the leading crime & trauma scene clean up and restoration company in Iowa. He joined the world of “crime scene clean up” after situations he experienced while deployed on his two combat tours to Iraq. With 15 years of experience between military and law enforcement and nearly 10 years of experience in the crime and trauma scene clean up industry. John holds many other trade certifications from but not limited to HAZWOPER, CTS Decon Specialist, Meth Lab Specialist, and IICRC certifications (WTR, FSRT, OCT).

Throughout this presentation, we will discussed the challenges systems face because of resource realities and the impact these challenges have on responding to a mass casualty incident. This presentation will provide suggested strategies to address the challenges presented to those providing Emergency and Restorative Services. John had first hand experiece in responding to a Mass Casulty event in a local highschool. This presentation will outlined lessons learned in dealing with such an experience.
